Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your use of the Borago Board mobile app ("App"). By using the App you agree to these Terms, the Mobile EULA, and the Mobile Privacy Policy. Because the App connects to the hosted service, the Web Terms of Service also apply to your account and subscription.

1. What the App is

The App is a mobile client for the hosted Borago Board service. It lets you view and manage your board and (where your desktop is connected) monitor task activity. The App does not run AI agents, execute code, or store a local database; it communicates with the cloud at https://board.boragosoft.com.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid account. Account creation requires you to confirm you are 18 or older; you are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions

Paid features cover the hosted cloud service (hosting/sync/control) and do not include any AI usage — AI runs on your own desktop using your own AI provider API key (or your own self‑hosted server). The App is free, sells nothing, and processes no payments. A cloud subscription is a feature of your account, governed by the Web Terms of Service, and whatever subscription your account holds applies when you sign in on the App; the App itself does not sell, upgrade, renew or cancel one.

4. Your responsibilities

• Use the App and Service lawfully and only for content you have the right to process.
• Keep your device and credentials secure.
• Understand that any AI activity you observe originates on your own desktop, and that AI output may be inaccurate or insecure and must be reviewed before use.

5. Acceptable use

You will not misuse the App: no unlawful or infringing use, no attempts to breach, scrape, overload, or reverse‑engineer the App or Service, no circumventing security or subscription limits, and no account sharing or resale without consent.

6. Permissions

The App requests only the permissions it needs (network access; and, only if you use the relevant feature, access to files/photos for attachments; the camera to take a photo for an attachment or to scan a sign-in code, either to link your desktop app or to sign in on this phone from a device that is already signed in; and the device's biometric unlock, if you turn on the app lock). It requests no notification permission today. You can manage permissions in your device settings.

7. Third parties

The App relies on the hosted Service and its sub‑processors and on your app store. Your app store's terms apply to distribution and store purchases.

AI providers are your responsibility. Any AI activity runs on your own desktop using your own API key for the provider you connect there (Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, or Google), or your own self‑hosted server. You are solely responsible for reviewing, accepting, and complying with each AI provider's terms, usage policies, and privacy policies, and for their fees — that relationship is solely between you and the provider. Borago Soft Limited does not provide, resell, or control any AI service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, or Google.

8. Availability & changes

The App and Service are provided "as is" and "as available." We may update, change, or discontinue features and will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes. App updates are delivered through your app store.

9. Disclaimers & liability

Warranty disclaimers and liability limits in the Mobile EULA and Web Terms of Service §9 apply and are incorporated here.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (account deletion is available in‑app). We may suspend or terminate access for breach or risk.

11. Governing law
